The Parkfield Classic was back again to kick off the collegiate season. Turn out appeared down from years past but the atmosphere was the same  as always! There were a few top contenders for the Pro class. Turpen, Furbee, and Kendallweed were some of the names being thrown around. In the end Evan Turpen took the win from Furbee. Check the results on the links below.

The course was the same as always. For those that have never been you start at the top and it fades you down the ridgeline towards the g-out. The g-out draws crowds as it has a high rate of speed and the ability to catch air on the way out. This sends you up a slight rise and into a tall left hand berm that will swallow all the travel that you bike has! This sets you up for a small rock garden with a drop back onto the singletrack.

Dual Slalom

After the drop the course went left into a tree section that has claimed many pedals and rear stays in its day. After slipping between the trees there is a small drop and then a few corners with no berms. The course picks up speed again and the expert and pro riders enter a mini g-out while others riders can go around. Coming out of this you enter an open section with rolling hills and the trail widens a little. This takes you to the steep fire road width drop in the crosses the creek.

Event images are being edited and will be added soon. A link will be posted when then are loaded! Check the pictures at the link below.
