Bike Vault's David KVO Scores 2nd At Fontana Finals

Escondido, CA (March 5, 2012) – The ‘Bike Vault’ professional mountain bike team had yet another successful event this past weekend, at the Southridge Winter Series finals in Fontana, California.  Team riders David KlaassenVanOorschot  and Brad King races to their best finishes this season by placing 2nd and 8th (consecutively ) against fierce competition!

In just his second race from returning from a broken hand, David KlaassenVanOorschot showed he had the skill, fitness, and mentality to return to the top!  Narrowly missing the win by 0.8 seconds, David knew he’s got an exciting season ahead!

“I honestly didn’t think I was going to place as well as I did today,” said David KlaassenVanOorschot.  “I’m pretty stoked to say the least.  I just felt great on my bike, & had my set-up running perfectly!  We put a Marzocchi Rocco World Cup Air shock in the rear for finals, and it performed flawlessly!  I was running a coil all weekend and almost forgot the shock was air sprung. So smooth!”

Teammate Brad King had his best event as well capturing a solid 8th place!  Narrowly mission the podium by less than a second, Brad shows a ton of promise as he enters the MTB Grand Prix Season.

I’m stoked on my 8th place,” said Brad King.  “I had a great run & knew my fitness was consistently getting better.  I was able to hammer the wall and my result showed that I’ve got what it takes to be a threat to the podium!”

The Bike Vault professional mountain bike team will be back out in Fontana in 3 weeks for the Fontana City National on March 25.  See you out there!
