Magura Adding to Tech Service Team

Magura USA, service partner for BOSCH eBike Systems, is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Parris to the Outside Technical Service Team for Magura and Bosch eBike Systems.

Parris has been active in the bicycle industry for over 15 years spending the last 10 years with Specialized helping build their Global Service Centers. At Specialized Josh also provided technical education to dealers and distributors of their e-bike division. A husband and father of two, Josh says, “I am very excited to join Magura USA. Magura is a growing company where I can continue what I started with Specialized–helping create an amazing bike environment on all types of bikes for our future generation of cyclists to enjoy.
 
Jeff Enlow, President of Magura USA said “With Magura’s growing number of OEM customers and our new service contract with BOSCH eBike Systems, we needed added support for our outside tech team. With experienced personnel additions, such as Josh, we can ensure we are able to offer the best technical service in the industry.”

Josh will serve as Magura’s Technical Aftermarket Service Manager, responsible for Magura and Bosch eBike Systems and will be based in Salt Lake City, focusing on the Western United States.

Shaun Palmer Is Back On Magura!

Magura USA is pleased to announce that Shaun Palmer, legend of multiple action sports, is joining Magura as brand ambassador.

As a member of Intense Cycles, Palmer will be riding Magura’s pro team issue yellow MT7 NEXT four piston brakes that have been highly praised by the media since their introduction last year. One of Palmers responsibilities with Intense is to scout, form and train an elite team of JRs, who will also be on Magura mounted Intense rigs. “We are so happy to have Shaun back on Magura’s and helping him with his JR team’s efforts,” said Magura USA’s President, Jeff Enlow. Palmer says, “Magura was one of my first sponsors when I broke onto the MTB race scene. The brakes then were the best anywhere, so I’m really stoked to be back with them now and on their new generation brakes.”

Shaun made his debut on the mountain bike scene in 1995. In an effort to be the best rider in the world, Shaun chose Magura’s hydraulic rim brakes [the first hydraulic brakes in mountain biking] as the brake to help get him to the top of the podium. He achieved success quickly with multiple top-ten finishes, an overall 5th place in the 1996 World Cup DH rankings, Dual Slalom World Champion in 1996, and Silver Medalist at the 1996 World Championships. just to name a few MTB accomplishments. Shaun is also a six-time X-Games gold medalist in four different sports.

Magura USA Restructures Staff

Beginning August 1, 2014, Magura USA began their exclusive partnership with Bosch as North American Service provider.  Magura's responsibility will include providing dealers with spare parts, a toll-free hotline, dealer training and orientation for Bosch e-Bike systems.  

As a result Magura has restructured staff responsibilities by promoting Jeff Enlow to President of Magura USA.  "With the new structure at Magura USA, a strong synergy has been created for both Bosch and Magura to grow, educating and training dealers together.” “Magura has been providing dealer clinics and supporting OE business for the last 15 years in US market and that’s just what Bosch needed in a service partner".  

Additional staff changes at Magura USA include promoting Buck Mitchell to Operations Manager and Matt Enlow to Inside Sales Manager.  Tony Ballantine remains National Sales Manager and Jude Monica remains Technical Sales Manager.  Monica will also head up the Bosch technical training project.  Technical Sales Rep Mike Mantione will be focused on dealer clinics for both Bosch and Magura.  By Jan 2015 Magura will also hire one additional technical rep to help with the increased Bosch business.
